Cultural Delegation of the President of the Republic of Estonia in London

The two-day visit of the Estonian cultural delegation accompanying the President of the Republic to London brings together representatives from Estonia’s leading music and cultural institutions to strengthen cooperation with major UK cultural orgasisations.

The programme of the cultural delegation includes meetings with key music and cultural institutions in London. On Monday, the delegation will visit Kings Place, a venue offering a diverse music programme that brings together classical, jazz, folk, and occasionally contemporary art and spoken word. The group will then continue to Wigmore Hall, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and dedication to chamber and vocal music. On Tuesday, the delegation will meet with representatives of the Barbican Centre, Europe’s largest multidisciplinary cultural venue, home to the London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. The visit will conclude at the Southbank Centre, the UK’s largest cultural complex spanning 11 hectares of creative space and presenting more than 5,000 performances annually – from classical and jazz music to theatre, dance, literature, and visual arts. The visit will culminate with a concert by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, “Adam’s Lament. Arvo Pärt at 90,” at the Barbican Centre, highlighting Estonian music on London’s stage.
