Contact Trip to Sweden

Within the framework of Hooked On Estonia, a contact trip to the Swedish market will be organised for Estonian music companies, including a targeted programme in Stockholm. The focus of the trip is on sector-specific company visits, partner meetings, and participation in a B2B “mix and mingle” networking event as part of the Hooked On Estonia city festival.
The programme is designed so that music sector companies will have a tailored schedule of meetings (up to 5 meetings), based on their specific needs and potential partners in the Swedish market. The meetings will focus on the live music sector, including visits to concert venues, festivals, and agencies in Stockholm. At the end of the trip, participants will jointly attend the B2B networking event for Estonian creative companies, where they can also invite their existing or potential partners.

Participation conditions

The project budget covers accommodation, flights, organisation of meetings, and B2B event costs. Participants are responsible for local transport (e.g. taxis), daily allowances, and personal expenses. The participation fee is €190 per company.
The target group includes Estonian music sector companies with export potential and readiness to enter or expand in the Swedish market: music companies and artist-related businesses, including management companies, self-managed artist entities, record labels, agencies, concert and festival organisers, venue representatives, music technology companies, and other related service providers seeking to build connections with key stakeholders in the Swedish live music industry.
Priority will be given to companies that demonstrate export readiness, have a defined product or service, a professional collaboration offer, a clear interest in the Swedish market, and the capacity to develop contacts established during the trip.

Schedule

  • Thursday, May 21 – flight to Sweden and first meetings
  • Friday, May 22 – company visits and meetings in separate groups: design companies meet design sector partners, music companies meet music sector organisations
  • Saturday, May 23 (12:00–13:00) – participation in the B2B “mix and mingle” networking event as part of the Hooked On Estonia city festival in Stockholm, where Estonian companies can meet Swedish companies and invite their own partners. Afterward, participants can attend the festival, where Tallinn Music Week will present its own stage.

Evaluation criteria

Export readiness and track record
Assessment of the company’s preparedness for international markets, including existing products/services, previous sales or collaboration experience, and ability to benefit from the trip.
Motivation and market fit
Assessment of the rationale for entering the Swedish market, clarity of target partners, and realism of objectives.
Potential impact and benefits
Assessment of how participation will contribute to export development, new partnerships, and business opportunities.

Application requirements

Applicants must provide:

  • a short company description;
  • motivation for participation and expected outcomes;
  • information on previous export experience or international ambitions.

The participation fee is €190 per company. The invoice will be issued by the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency.
Participation in the contact trip constitutes de minimis aid. Each participating company will receive aid valued at €2,000, which will be registered in the national state aid register. After the trip, the amount may be adjusted based on actual costs. Information on available de minimis aid can be checked via the Ministry of Finance website.
