Eurosonic Noordeslag
Location: Groningen, Holland
The annual ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) showcase festival and conference—Europe’s most important music industry event—will take place next year on 14–17 January in Groningen, the Netherlands, marking the event’s 40th anniversary. This time, the “focus country” is the whole of Europe, and a dedicated European area will be coordinated in its honor. The festival has announced two artists from Estonia: mariin k. and PRIDIAN.
Europe’s key music industry representatives and professionals will be present—festivals, agencies, management companies, concert venues, media representatives, etc. International network meetings will also take place.
More than 350 artists perform at ESNS, with over 40,000 people attending the concerts and 4,000 music industry professionals from around the world, including representatives from 400 festivals. The conference includes more than 150 panel discussions, interviews, and presentations addressing the most current topics in the music sector. Artists perform at nearly 40 different venues.
Music Estonia, Tallinn Music Week and Raadio 2 are part of the festival’s network European Talent Exchange (ETE) (formerly ESNS Exchange). In addition to Estonia, the network includes export offices from 25 other European countries, 129 (showcase) festivals, and 30 representatives from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) radio network, plus 28 additional members and partners—making it the strongest European-level showcase festival platform consistently developing and promoting European talent.
Depending on the size of the delegation, Music Estonia also organizes on-site networking events for companies or helps identify existing opportunities. In addition, EMEE organizes networking events focused on America and Asia. Read more and register from here.
