India International Music Week (IIMW)

Location: Goa, India

India International Music Week (IIMW) is the country’s first global music conference and showcase festival, bringing together industry leaders, artists, and innovators from around the world. Designed as a platform for cross-border knowledge sharing and networking, IIMW Pro features expert-led panels, curated networking sessions, and hands-on workshops. With a strong focus on global trade, the event positions India as a key player in the international music economy. Beyond industry insights, IIMW also celebrates cultural exchange, fostering connections between Indian and global music communities. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Goa, the festival embodies diversity, creativity, and collaboration.

A representative of Music Estonia has been invited to participate in India’s first music industry conference and showcase festival. Two years ago, we took part in the India mission in Mumbai with the EMEE network of music export offices to enhance our knowledge of the Indian music market and its position. These connections have been a valuable step for our music industry in entering or further operating in the market, making it essential to continue building relationships within this music sector. Additionally, four European music export offices – Austrian Music Export, Sound Czech, Hamburg Music, and Music from Ireland – have brought a joint delegation to the event. Depending on the outcomes, this could pave the way for broader collaboration and a joint delegation involving more countries. Alongside Estonia, a total of 11 European music export offices are represented at the event.
