Estonian delegation at jazzahead!
Location: Bremen, Saksamaa
This year, from April 22–25, jazzahead! will be celebrated for the 20th time in Bremen. The jazzahead! showcase festival is considered the world’s largest jazz event, bringing together all active professionals and talents in the field – musicians, record labels, agents, festival organizers, programmers, and media representatives.
Sweden has been invited as the 2026 focus country in order to strengthen cooperation and internationalization within the jazz sector between Sweden and Germany. Partners include the Swedish Arts Council, Göteborg Artist Center (GAC), Musikcentrum Sweden, Svensk Jazz, Export Music Sweden, and STIM. The jazzahead! Festival has expressed a wish to collaborate next with the Baltic countries. As part of the Swedish CLUBNIGHT program, Tuulikki Bartosik and Svante Söderqvist Trio – The Rocket, who performed in last year’s main program, will take the stage on April 25 at 8:00 PM at Klimahaus Bremerhaven.
jazzahead! has taken place in Bremen, Germany since 2006, encompassing a trade fair, conference, and showcase festival program. Jazz professionals and talents come together to network, exchange ideas, take part in conferences and panels, and experience 38 showcase concerts in the official program, in addition to the CLUBNIGHT program. In 2025, the festival hosted approximately 3,300 professional participants from 66 countries and 23,000 general visitors. From Estonia, Kadri Voorand together with Mihkel Mälgand performed in the CLUBNIGHT program, and the Estonian–Swedish ensemble Tuulikki Bartosik and Svante Söderqvist Trio – The Rocket performed in the main program.
We invite everyone interested to join the Estonian delegation to the jazzahead! showcase festival, jointly coordinated by Music Estonia and the Estonian Jazz Union. The aim is to continue presenting Estonian jazz music at an international level, creating new export opportunities for Estonian jazz musicians and expanding networks worldwide.
