SXSW Music is the largest music festival of its kind in the world, with over 2,000 performers participating as of 2014. The music event has grown from 700 registered participants in 1987, the first year of the conference, to more than 161,000 attendees in 2018. The SXSW Film and SXSW Interactive events have also grown each year.

We are participating in SXSW 2025 to explore new international opportunities for Estonia’s music and creative industries. The event offers valuable insight into emerging global trends, innovative formats, and cross-sector collaboration, all of which are highly important to us. Participation in SXSW supports the strategic exploration of markets beyond Europe, particularly in North America, and helps Estonia position itself within a broader global context. It also creates opportunities to engage with partners, experts, and policymakers who align with EU cultural and innovation agendas.
