Estonian jazz violinist and singer Ingrid Hagel loves to create unique music inspired by life itself. Her goal is to make music that tells stories, traveling through the peaks and valleys of soundscapes, combining the freshness of the Nordic melodies of her jazz violin into a fusion of musical genres. Her charmingly pure and ringing voice has expressiveness in both the low and high registers. On her released albums, Ingrid plays with various talented musicians from Estonia and other parts of Europe. She likes to compose melodies for other melodic instruments, such as trumpet, bass clarinet and saxophone, as well as vibraphone, not to mention to traditional rhythm group instruments. Ingrid often performs with bands that play Latin American and flamenco style music. She is a longtime member of Sisters in Jazz and often takes the stage with impromptu all-girl bands. Ingrid is always on the lookout for something new, which is why her creations are never quite finished. |
