A joint delegation of Music Estonia and the Estonian Jazz Union is participating in jazzahead! festival

Jazzhead! is the most significant meeting place for the international jazz scene, welcoming over 3400 delegates from 64 countries to Bremen, Germany from April 28-30. The festival and trade fair includes a conference and club night. Estonia is represented by 15 professionals this year.

Each year Jazzahead! chooses a partner country to feature. This year’s partner country, Germany, offers visitors 40 showcase performances, special gala moments at the concert evening of the German Jazz Prize and premieres of specially commissioned works. Music Estonia has planned a networking meeting on the morning of Saturday 29.04 at 10:00 in partnership with Initiative Musik to facilitate new connections between both countries.

A highlight for Estonia this year will be a showcase performance by pianist and composer Kirke Karja’s trio Karja/Renard/Wandinger at Kulturzentrum Schlachthof on 28.04 at 18:45. Delegates are invited to join a reception before the concert (from 17:00-18:00) at Lugger (inside Kulturzentrum Schlachthof) with cocktails by Punch Club and light snacks.

Meet the Estonian delegation: Music Estonia (Ave Tölpt and Sebastian Buccioni), Jazz Estonia (Anna-Sophia Sevagin, Elo-Liis Parmas, Jaak Sooäär, Kirke Karja, Lauri Kadalipp, and Loreta Sindi) and artists (Bianca Rantala, Eduard Kuzovlev, Johannes Laas, Karmen Rõivassepp, Rita Ray, Tanel Ruben and Susanna Aleksandra).
