Five Estonian Music Professionals Selected for International Mentorship Programme

Music Estonia has launched an international mentorship programme, selecting five Estonian music professionals and artists to participate. The programme was open to applications from all sectors of the music industry — including artists, their representatives and managers, event organisers, and other music entrepreneurs — who felt that international experience and perspective could provide a necessary boost to their development. Applicants were able to indicate their preferred mentor from a list of 10 international music professionals.

The international mentorship programme pairs are as follows:
Colm O’Herlihy & Robam
Danny Keir & Britt Randma / Night Tapes
Elena Cabal & Anett Kulbin
Lucy Woolley & Marek Unt / Kadri Voorand
Matt Bacon & Intrepid

Colm O’Herlihy is the co-founder of Reykjavík-based music company INNI, which he established in 2019 together with composer Atli Örvarsson. Their work led to the creation of INNI House in 2022 — a centre with nine recording studios. Today, INNI collaborates with major platforms such as Apple, HBO, Netflix, and Disney.

Markus Robam is an Estonian composer whose work blends film, theatre, and contemporary music. His compositions intertwine classical instruments with electronic textures, creating immersive soundscapes for stage productions, films, and independent projects.

Danny Keir is a London-based artist manager and music export consultant with experience running campaigns for hundreds of domestic and international artists. His current roster includes I Monster, Tatyana, Casey Lowery, and film composers Matteo Tronchin and Jack McCartney.

Britt Randma is an award-winning music manager with over a decade of experience in the music industry. Her career spans roles at the e-commerce store 311.ee, subsidiaries of Sony and Warner Music Baltics, and Estonia’s largest concert agency, Eesti Kontsert. She currently manages the internationally rising Estonian-UK dream pop band Night Tapes, leads the Main Character Agency, and organises the event series Reivile Minuga.

Elena Cabal Rodriguez is the founder of The Elegant Management — the first London-based company focused on representing Spanish and Latin American producers and songwriters in both English- and Spanish-speaking markets. At Made Management, she manages artists such as SKAAR, Darcy Toyn, and Askjell, while also growing her roster of Latin artists.

Anett Kulbin is an award-winning Estonian pop-soul artist and songwriter who blends neo-soul, jazz, pop, and Nordic elegance. With over a decade of experience as a jazz vocalist and vocal training in the UK, she has become one of the most distinctive voices in Estonia’s contemporary soul scene. Her recent collaborative album Read Between the Lines received critical acclaim, earning her the 2024 title of Soul/Funk/R’n’B Artist of the Year, along with nominations for Album of the Year and Ensemble of the Year.

Lucy Woolley is a Manchester-based creative producer and consultant, primarily focused on jazz. She is the business director of the international jazz label Edition Records and also heads the Lancaster Jazz Festival.

Marek Unt manages artist Kadri Voorand, with the aim of advancing her career internationally — including the release of a new album later this year. Their current focus includes expanding her listener base in Germany, the UK, and France, building a long-term fanbase, and finding partners for label, distribution, booking, and PR.

Matt Bacon is a consultant, A&R representative, and podcast creator specialising in heavy music. He has worked with artists ranging from pop icons like boygenius and Mitski to death metal legends such as Cannibal Corpse, and 90s stars like They Might Be Giants.

Intrepid is a death metal band founded in Tallinn in 2016, known for their live performances and European tours. They’ve shared stages with legends such as Atheist, Nile, Monstrosity, and Origin. Their new album Juxtaposition was released on June 4th of this year, coinciding with performances at Mystic Festival and Tuska.

The programme is co-funded by the European Union and takes place in partnership with Tallinn, a UNESCO City of Music.
