Apply for the Music Companies’ Networking Trip to South Korea
During the second-to-last week of August, between August 18–24 (exact dates to be confirmed once the group is formed), Tallinn – UNESCO City of Music and Music Estonia will organize a networking trip to Daegu, South Korea, to explore the local music scene and build networks. Estonian music companies are invited to apply to join the group by Thursday, June 12 (inclusive). Five companies will be selected, and based on their profiles, we will determine which local companies and organizations to visit. The stay in Daegu will last up to 4 nights, and the full trip (including travel) should be planned for about one week.

What will the participant receive?

Partial coverage of travel and accommodation costs by Music Estonia.

A fixed travel grant of up to €1200 (based on receipts and invoices; reimbursement of eligible travel costs).

Meetings with up to 8 local music company representatives.

A local networking event.

The grant will be paid out after the trip upon submission of an invoice and supporting documents by the company (VAT cannot be added).
What costs are covered by the participant?

Any costs exceeding the grant amount, including additional travel, accommodation, or local expenses.
Who can apply?

Music companies registered in Tallinn that are either:

Already active in export to South Korea, the Asian market, or nearby countries, or
-
Have a well-considered plan to enter the market.

Only one representative per company is preferred, but if space allows, additional participants may join.

Up to 5 companies will be selected by a Music Estonia-appointed committee.

The form should briefly outline your company’s / artists’ plans, export activities in the Asian market, and your interest in participating in the networking trip.

About Daegu:
Located in the southeast of South Korea, Daegu is home to 2.5 million residents and serves as the region’s city of arts and culture. With a strong focus on music, Daegu also excels in combining music with other fields such as visual arts, literature, and design, offering renowned opera and music performances. The city hosts numerous international music events, covering gukak (traditional Korean music), classical, and contemporary music.
Meetings will be arranged in collaboration with the Daegu City of Music representative, tailored to the profiles and interests of the selected participants.
