Music Estonia is taking part of the Nordic-Baltic Live Ecosystem project

Nordic-Baltic Live Ecosystem project (funded by the Live DMA network) is here to strengthen ties, share skills and knowledge inside the Nordic-Baltic region. This initiative addresses the common and new challenges our industry faces.

During the project we will visit showcase festivals in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Estonia having meetings, workshops and panel discussions during those visits. Each project partner has brought a focus topic to focus on:

In 2026:

At SPOT in Denmark, we will focus on supporting grassroots venues.

At by:Larm in Norway, we will focus on the implications of private funding replacing public funding and map the different funding schemes in each country.

At Viva Sounds in Sweden, we will discuss what constitutes a sustainable business model for concert promoters

At Music x Media in Finland, we will work on strategies for operating from the periphery

In 2027:

The final meeting will take place at Tallinn Music Week in Estonia, where we will examine the current status of audience safety and security across the participating countries.

The specific goal of the project is to create exchanges between the different networks and, by sharing knowledge and experiences, we strive to find common solutions to the challenges we face. The project will be implemented through a series of meetings, workshops and panel discussions at key industry conferences in the Nordics and Estonia. These activities will focus on sharing best practices, exploring innovative solutions, and building capacity among our national networks. This way of meeting would both give us five meetings to actually explore the common topics and find solutions and new collaborations.

Live DMA is a European network of national live music associations. Its members represent live music venues, clubs and festivals in their respective countries, and through them, they support a community of over 3000 live music scenes across 18 countries.
