The creator of the new graphic design for the Estonian Music Industry Awards (EMEA) is Jaan Pavliuk
The starting point for EMEA’s new visual identity is the circle as a linking element within Estonia’s small yet tightly interconnected music business ecosystem. The creator of the visual identity Jaan Pavliuk is one of the founders of Sete Studio and the recipient of the EMEA Design of the Year for a Music Event 2025 award.
“Each circle represents a sector representative or factor as a single point of connection. When combined, they form a structure that reflects the inclusive and unifying nature of the field. The repetition of links refers to the cogwheel motif of previous years, but the focus is now on its individual elements and their mutual interaction—emphasizing that it is connections, collaboration, and shared contribution that create the whole,” explains Jaan Pavliuk when describing the essence of the new identity.
Jaan Pavliuk is one of the founders of Sete Studio and the recipient of the EMEA Design of the Year for a Music Event 2025 award for the visual identity of the Paavli.CLUB Festival, which was described as evoking a feeling that amplifies a momentary experience before merging back into a cohesive whole. As a graphic designer, Pavliuk often focuses on the convincing execution of unconventional ideas. His work has explored themes such as identity, human behaviour, culture, narratives, and memory. Pavliuk is also one of the driving forces behind the Helios party series.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed ideas and reflections to the development of the new identity, as well as Erkin Antov, the creator of EMEA’s previous visual identity.
The aim of EMEA is to highlight Estonia’s music sector and its support structures, and to recognise individuals and companies who stand out in the field of Estonian music entrepreneurship and contribute to its development. EMEA 2026 will take place on 4 March. The submission of candidates has closed, and the nominees will be announced by mid-February.
For the sixth consecutive year, EMEA is organised by Music Estonia—the representative organisation of Estonian music companies and the development centre for music entrepreneurship. EMEA’s partners and supporters include the Estonian Association of Phonogram Producers, the Estonian Authors’ Society, the Estonian Performers’ Association, the City of Tallinn, the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency, Sviby as the main sponsor, and Live Nation Estonia.
