Fifty Lab is a talent showcase festival taking place at iconic venues in Brussels from the 16th to the 18th of november. During the three-day festival, you can get to know up-and-coming talents of various genres and international up-and-coming talents.

We are participating in Fifty Lab for the first time thanks to the invitation of the Belgian export office Wallonie-Bruxelles Musique and the support of the Estonian Embassy in Belgium. It is a uniquely born festival program, where every year the program is curated by a circle of European music festivals, who select new talents that stood out the most at their festival or elsewhere. The organizers of the festival will appoint next year’s curators.

Our goal is to get to know the format of the event, the program managers of various festivals, and to pique their interest in involving an Estonian festival as a curator in the future. We also have a great opportunity to bring good contacts to our own talent showcase festival Tallinn Music Week. Ave Tölpt and Jaanika Lillemaa from Music Estonia will participate. Kadri Jauram, Estonia’s cultural adviser in Belgium, will also be present.
